King Farm Development
Soltesz was selected by a national developer to evaluate a 400-acre site for a mixed-use development project of over 3,000 residential units, over 3 million sq. ft. of office and R&D space, and 125,000 sq. ft. of retail, community, and recreational facilities.
One challenge of this project – the required annexation into the City of Rockville. With a deep understanding of the process of the City of Rockville, Soltesz worked with the developer and a team of land planners to successfully navigate the annexation and entitlement process. The result was a successful project with residential, retail, office, and community amenities.
Our environmental team also provided restoration for the local stream valleys which were severely degraded due to decades of farming. The housing mix includes single-family homes, townhomes, courtyard homes, condominiums, and luxury apartments. Soltesz continues to provide civil engineering service as the development expands - most recently, the adjacent plots which include up to 144 townhomes.
