Marriott at National Harbor

Client:  The Peterson CompaniesLocation:  Oxon Hill, MarylandThis seven-story, extended-stay hotel features 162 suites and 1,400 sq. ft. conference and meeting space located at the National Harbor Development, where Soltesz was the primary Civil Engineer.

Soltesz assisted the architects in determining the best method to phase delivery vehicles access to the loading docks and the pedestrian traffic crossing in the front of the building. This coordination was key to maintaining the operational needs of the hotel while conceding to allow pedestrian flow through the heart of the downtown area. Soltesz also designed screen details of the loading docks to reduce the visibility from the main street.
