Learning Through Professional Development

LSA Employees Attend Training Series

One of LSA’s continuing goals is to offer its employees the best education opportunities in and out of the office. Through an intensive and collaborative series, different education events are held for our staff to help them remain on the pulse of industry trends and to leverage each unique talent for the benefit of our clients. Utilizing our video conferencing capabilities, all offices of LSA are able to participate in regularly held informational seminars. Recently, cut sheet training was offered to our technical staff and a public speaking session was held for selected staff throughout our company. Seminars on communication and leadership development will be provided in early 2013. LSA is built on the success of its skilled employees and business professionals, and we will continue to educate and train to offer our clients the highest level of service.

Montgomery County Multi-Agency Service ParkPark

Engineering the Campus

The project consists of 131 acres located on 8701 Snouffer School Road, between Woodfield Road and Goshen Road, and is divided into two major sides – East and West – separated with a wetland/stream zone.

LSA is excited to be a part of the Baker team that was awarded the Montgomery County Multi-Agency Service Park (MASP) contract. The purpose of this project is to provide economic opportunities for the future growth of Montgomery County, provide room for the implementation of the Shady Grove Sector Plan, and provide replacements for critical aging facilities.

Montgomery County intends to relocate a number of facilities from the County Services Park located on Crabbs Branch Road and the Public Safety Training Academy, currently on Great Seneca Highway, to this campus. MASP is divided into four phases, including:

  1. Complete overall site work and preparation of all building pads
  2. Montgomery County Public Schools’ food preparation facilities on the east side
  3. Public Safety Training Academy (PSTA) site on the west side
  4. Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning and Montgomery County Public Schools facility maintenance Depots also on the    east side

LSA is providing preparation of civil construction documents for the entire project and full engineering services including associated roadway infrastructure and other environmental and site elements. Montgomery County Public Schools’ food preparation facilities will be completed by August of 2014 followed by all remaining phases.
