John Carter, AIA is a planner, urban designer, and architect with 37 years of experience. Mr. Carter draws upon his expertise and experience to provide direction through numersous avenues, including planning and design work, interpretation of local and federal public policies, Master Plan process and development, entitlement work, as well as best strategies and practices pertaining to development approvals.
As a planner and urban designer, Mr. Carter's leadership has been critical in the transformation of Montgomery County into a complete community, planned and designed to meet the needs of the 21st century. He participated in the preparation of over 20 master plans, planning for Metro stations, rural communities, affordable housing initiatives, major urban design projects, and a wide variety of neighborhood planning and design projects.
